This intensive 40-hour instructor development course is designed for experienced law enforcement snipers and team leaders who are responsible for conducting sniper sustainment and in-service training within their agencies. The course focuses on developing the knowledge, confidence, and instructional methods necessary to successfully train and mentor police snipers in both classroom and field environments.
Technical skill alone is not enough — the ability to effectively teach and mentor others is what builds a successful sniper program.
This is not an entry-level sniper school. Students are expected to arrive with established operational sniper skills and prior formal sniper training.
Throughout the week, students will participate in a demanding combination of classroom instruction, practical exercises, group presentations, lesson development, and live-fire range training. Emphasis is placed on instructional techniques, adult learning concepts, course design, coaching methods, performance evaluation, and realistic problem-solving applicable to modern law enforcement sniper operations.
Students will leave the course with practical tools and proven methods they can immediately implement within their own sniper programs and agencies.
Successful completion of the course and prerequisite requirements will result in certification as a SniperCraft NW In-Service Sniper Instructor.
